Meet Jessica Bernstein of North Central San Antonio. She has lived here for 19 years. Jessica has a background is in corporate communications and public and governmental affairs. She also does some freelance writing and copy editing. There are myriad reasons why Jessica loves San Antonio: “I love the parks and green space, the mild winters, and the world class cultural amenities. I love the schools my kids attended in Northeast Independent School District. I love that we have our own branch of the Culinary Institute of America, and many truly amazing restaurants. I love the farmers market in the old Pearl Brewery area. I love the city’s museums and theaters. I love the great hospitals and medical facilities. I love the Via bus system, which helps reduce traffic congestion and air pollution and makes the city accessible to those who choose not to drive. I love the city’s police officers and fire fighters, who keep us all safe. She supports Mayor Ron for re-election because, “he is a true leader with a strong vision for San Antonio. He isn’t just a mayor for a few special interest groups. He wants to make this city a better place for all of us. Balancing the needs of diverse neighborhoods and the competing demands of different constituencies is complex. Ron has the skill and the acumen to get things done for this community. He also has the all-important ability to connect with each of us as individuals. I am proud to have him as our Mayor.”
